BOISE, Idaho (CBS2) — Lindsay and Jeffery Lang thought their little kitty Pepper was gone. After nearly two months of searching they received a call from an animal shelter 700 miles away in the Mission District of San Francisco, California saying they found their cat.
The Langs found Pepper in a church parking lot behind their house in December of last year. At that time only a couple months old. They took her in and cared for her. One morning in October, Lindsay Lang was leaving for work, with the front door open and arms full, there was no stopping pepper from getting out.
“She wanted a little kitty adventure that morning apparently, and she got more than she bargained for,” she said.
After receiving the call from San Francisco Animal Care and Control, the Langs packed their bags and hit the road.
When they arrived, Pepper knew her people immediately. Lindsay says Pepper let out a “huge meow” after seeing her husband Jeffery. After the reunion, it was time to take Pepper home, back to Boise…
