Three people have been arrested after law enforcement uncovered the remains of a 69-year-old man who was reported missing earlier this month in Upstate New York.
Earlier this week, the Greene County Sheriff’s Office announced on Facebook that it was investigating a report of a missing 69-year-old man from Cairo, NY.

The GSCO said that Roger Pitt Sr. was reported missing by family members who said that he left his home in the town of Cairo on Tuesday, November 18th, 2025, at approximately 10 a.m. and hasn’t been heard from since. At the time, members of the family told police that Pitt Sr. had gathered his belongings and left the area, driving a 1987 Mercedes-Benz. The Sheriff’s Office released the license plate number of the vehicle, along with a picture of Pitt Sr., asking anyone with information to contact them.
Following the report, they began an investigation that led to shocking allegations.
