Erie Lakeshore, including the City of Erie, has been downgraded to a Winter Weather Advisory.
Meteorologist Tom Atkins reported that most of the rest of the area will remain under a Lake Effect Snow Warning into Friday night.
The late afternoon radar showed areas and bands of snow, with the heaviest (blue) mainly in the snowbelts south of I-90, which can be seen on the radar photo below.

Atkins said that, to state it simply, the forecast remains essentially the same with lighter snows north of I-90 and the heavier snows in the snowbelts south of I-90, with the system winding down later Friday and Friday night.
