FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) — As the City of Fort Wayne prepares for heavy snowfall that may envelop the area over the weekend, crews are working to quickly prepare for the wintry weather.
According to the City of Fort Wayne, the Street Department is converting tanker trucks that are currently being used for leaf pickup into snow plows. As a result, leaf pickup across the Summit City may be delayed.
A Winter Storm Warning is in effect from 7 a.m. Saturday to 7 p.m. Sunday, and weather forecasts show Fort Wayne could get up to 6 inches of snow.
City residents are encouraged to find off-street parking so snow plows can blade as close to the curb as possible…
