3-vehicle crash at south Fort Wayne intersection slows traffic

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) — A crash involving three vehicles completely stopped traffic at an intersection in south Fort Wayne. Traffic has started to flow again, but slowly.

The crash occurred at the Lafayette Street and Pettit Avenue intersection at around 2:45 p.m. Friday. The surrounding roads are heavy with traffic as Lafayette Street has been reduced to single lanes going north and south.

A WANE 15 crew member at the scene observed three vehicles, one of which had heavy front-end damage. There are at least 5 emergency vehicles present, including one ambulance.

Fort Wayne Dispatch was able to confirm that the drivers involved are in a non-life-threatening condition…
