A Fall River man with previous drug arrests on his record pled not guilty Friday in Fall River District Court on new charges.
According to Fall River Police, on Wednesday evening, FRPD C.A.S.T. Detectives applied for and were granted a search warrant for a tent located within a homeless encampment off Brayton Avenue. The target of the warrant was 34-year-old Robert Langlais. Through the course of their investigation, detectives developed information indicating that Langlais was selling fentanyl and crack cocaine from the encampment and was illegally in possession of a firearm.
Although Langlais was not inside the tent when the warrant was executed, detectives received information that he was walking nearby. Detectives canvassed the surrounding area and soon observed Langlais approaching the encampment on Brayton Avenue. Upon seeing the detectives, he attempted to flee on foot.
