Fire crews battle four-alarm fire at waste management building in Rochester

ROCHESTER, N.Y. — A four-alarm fire broke out at a waste management building on Emerson Street in Rochester Friday afternoon.

Lt. Jackie Sierra from the fire department says the call came in at around 3:14 p.m. Friday for a report of a fire inside a commercial building, with the fire being deep in the building.

Due to the building being in a more rural area and deep into the building, Sierra says it took extra resources to battle the fire, making it a four-alarm fire…
