AUSTIN (KXAN) – Downtown Austin is in the middle of a major transformation, with about $25 billion in construction projects underway, creating challenges for small businesses that rely on visitors.
For the month of December, the Downtown Austin Alliance is making it easier for people to get downtown. Anyone traveling to and from downtown Austin is eligible for 50% off their Uber rides.
DAA told KXAN that visitors within a 30-mile radius of Sixth Street can take advantage of the offer, which can be applied to rides costing up to $80. People can take up to six trips to and from downtown – three round-trips. Riders can get their voucher on DAA’s website…
