LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) -A quiet Thanksgiving in Lubbock with highs near 60, but big changes arrive this weekend.
If you’re starting off your Thanksgiving morning watching the Macy’s parade while the turkey roasts, the weather is fully cooperating. New York City is calm winds that shouldn’t impact the balloons today.
Here in the South Plains, temperatures will start chilly but quickly warm up into the low 60s. Light northwest winds at 5 to 10 mph.
High clouds drift in tonight keeping our overnight lows in the upper 30s and low 40s
Friday begins the same way: mild, quiet, and stead. Early in the morning, winds sit around 5 to 10 mph, but by midday, southerly will start to blow 15-20 mph with the occasional gust near 30 mph.
But the bigger story happens on Saturday…
