Rockford plumbing company’s ‘bubbly’ idea to debut in Stroll on State parade

ROCKFORD, Ill. (WIFR) – As the community gets ready for Rockford’s 13th Stroll on State, Pearson Plumbing, Heating, & Pest Control prepares for the annual tradition by building its first bathtub float.

Plumber J.R. Nelson and his wife Debbie, are building the float.

In just 24 hours, the team is transforming a classic tub setup – something they install every week – into a fully mobile ‘travelling bathtub.’

“It’s our first time doing a bathtub theme, last year we did the parade and we had toilets dressed as reindeer,” explained plumber, Josh Nelson. “With being a plumbing shop, we figured we’d utilize the bathtub idea.”…
