Portland police make one arrest during protest outside ICE facility Wednesday night

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — Portland police say they arrested one person during a protest outside the Immigration and Customs Enforcement facility on Wednesday night.

The Portland Police Bureau specified that, though they do not engage in immigration enforcement, the city police do make arrests for other applicable crimes committed during protests.

In this case, PPB said around 9 p.m., they were monitoring the protest when they saw a group of people trespassing on private property.

“The officers asked the trespassers to move back to public property. Most agreed, but one person refused repeated requests and warnings,” PPB said in a press release…
