Campbell’s Johnson savors semifinal win, shifts focus to Kamehameha in Open Division title game
Campbell head coach Darren Johnson says the Sabers didn’t take long to move from celebration to preparation after their 15-12 upset of Kahuku in last week’s HHSAA Open Division semifinal, a win that sent them to next week’s state championship game against Kamehameha.
“We got to enjoy it for 48 hours, then we got back to work,” Johnson said on this week’s Cover2 On The Road segment. “I think our coaches really did well. They prepared the offense and the defense. We thought we needed 21 to win, but we only had 15, so it worked out. Our defense played lights out.”…
