Fountain Square holiday tree lighting draws hundreds despite cold

CINCINNATI (WKRC) – Despite the bitter cold, hundreds gathered to witness the lighting of the Fountain Square holiday tree, a tradition cherished by many families.

The 52-foot concolor fir was adorned with more than 25,000 LED lights and topped with a custom-made 14-point star crafted by Jordan Graff of Iron Belle Metal Designs.

Tyla Jackson, who has been bringing her daughter Trinity to the tree lighting since she was a baby, said, “We made this a part of our yearly tradition after celebrating Thanksgiving. We usually come down and just watch the lights be lit up and have some mommy daughter time.”…
