North Carolina shooting leaves 19-year-old in serious condition, police say

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. (WNCN) — Police are investigating what led to heavy gunfire, damage to multiple properties, and a man hospitalized late Friday night in Fayetteville.

According to the Fayetteville Police Department, officers responded to the call of shots fired around 11:45 p.m. on Old Farm Road near Cotton Valley Drive.

Upon arrival, they found at least three vehicles and 20 shell casings at the scene — plus a 19-year-old with injuries from gunfire. He was taken to the hospital, where he is in serious but stable condition.
