ROANOKE COUNTY, Va. (WFXR) – Roanoke County officials are inviting the community to the 22nd Annual Christmas Tree Lighting, saying the festive event promises an evening filled with holiday entertainment, crafts, and family activities .
The lighting will take place on December 1 at 6:30 p.m. at the South County Library. Students from Oak Grove Elementary School’s After School for Kids program are adding to the festivities by singing a selection of Christmas Carols.
Roanoke officials say holiday activities for children and teens will include tree ornaments, reindeer ornaments, a paper snow globe craft, a magician, guessing games, and a scavenger hunt. Guests will also be able to enjoy light holiday refreshments, a cake walk, and the Cave Spring High School and Middle School Choir will fill the auditorium with joyful sounds of the season…
