Detectives in Long Beach are investigating a fatal hit-and-run that occurred earlier this month and claimed the life of a 46-year-old pedestrian.
The incident took place on Nov. 13 at approximately 12:28 a.m. in the area of Pacific Coast Highway and Maine Avenue, according to the Long Beach Police Department. Officers responded to the scene and found that the pedestrian had already been transported to a local hospital by Long Beach Fire Department personnel.
Investigators believe the victim was struck by an unknown vehicle while in the roadway. The driver fled the scene before officers arrived, and police said the identity of the suspect and details of the vehicle remain under investigation…
