New York (WRGB) — Governor Hochul announced that 1,650 trees are being delivered to communities across New York as part of the New York Power Authority’s 2025 Tree Power program, according to the release it’s the largest annual distribution since the program began in the late 1990s. The effort supports the Governor’s statewide goal of planting 25 million trees by 2033, improving environmental health and resilience while expanding green space in disadvantaged communities.
