CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) — QR codes are everywhere these days – on restaurant menus, parking meters, and even holiday shopping deals, but cybersecurity experts warn that scammers are taking advantage of how quick and easy these codes are to use.
QR codes are meant to make life easier, giving instant access to websites, payment systems, or special offers. James Chatwani, senior security strategist of GuidePoint Security explained why that convenience can come at a cost.
