SALT LAKE CITY (ABC4) — Two people are dead and one is injured after a wrong-way crash on I-15 early Saturday morning, according to Utah Highway Patrol (UHP).
At around 2 a.m. on Nov. 29, UHP troopers responded to a wrong-way crash on I-15 Northbound at 1900 South. According to police, a driver entered the northbound lanes at the 600 South exit, driving southbound.
The wrong-way driver crashed head-on with a northbound vehicle, according to Sgt. Luis Silva, UHP. Two individuals inside the northbound vehicle were declared deceased on scene.
The wrong-way driver sustained minor injuries, according to Silva, and are suspected of being under the influence. The individual was subsequently placed under DUI arrest…
