Eugene police seeking person of interest in 1992 murder of young mother

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — Police in Eugene are asking the public for new leads in the murder of young mother which happened over 30 years ago.

On Nov. 28, 1992, officials said 25-year-old Sharon Hiller was found dead, partially hidden under tree debris on the South Bank of the Willamette River in Skinner Butte Park.

She had died by strangulation and her death was ruled a homicide.
