2 injured in DeKalb County snowy head-on collision

DEKALB COUNTY, Ind. (WANE) — Two people have been injured in a head-on collision when one of the drivers lost control of their car due to the inclement weather.

At 3:26 p.m. Saturday afternoon, the driver of a Kia Telluride was heading south in the area of the 6600 block of State Road 1 when they lost control due to heavy snow on the road. The car crossed over the center line and hit a Ford Escape traveling in the opposite direction head-on.

The driver of the Ford and their passenger were taken to a nearby hospital for their injuries. The Kia driver sustained no injuries.
