WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — Samaritan Ministries opened its doors on Thanksgiving to serve up to 300 guests, offering holiday meals, warmth, and community to those experiencing homelessness or food insecurity.
Executive Director Jan Kelly said Thanksgiving is one of the most meaningful days of the year for the ministry, which serves meals daily and depends on nearly 30,000 volunteer hours annually.
