Shoppers hit stores early on Black Friday

BYRON CENTER, Mich. (WOOD) — Black Friday is here and shoppers spent the morning hunting down the perfect holiday gifts.

Stores at Tanger Outlets saw crowds and packed parking lots at 6 a.m. Other stores, including Nike, had lines as early as 3 a.m. One group of shoppers huddled in a heated tent.

Angela Stanton was shopping for purses to use in a fundraiser for the Hastings senior class. She said the day started before sunrise and the savings were worth it.

“We were able to get these designer purses for well under what we would normally do because it’s Black Friday and it’s fun and there’s great shopping going on over there,” she said…
