Woman says she stole $102 in items due to being ‘short of funds’ at Walmart

A Clermont woman will appear in court for using a bag to cover $102 in merchandise she planned on stealing from Walmart.

An asset protection employee of Walmart, located at 550 U.S. Hwy. 27, Clermont, saw 59-year-old Donna Lynn Pangallo use a self-checkout register around 5:05 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 22, according to a case report from the Lake County Sheriff’s Office.

He watched as she scanned some items but left others in the cart, covering them with grey bags. She seemed nervous as she did so but continued until she had $102.39 worth of unscanned merchandise, the report said…
