Value City Furniture’s parent company has filed for bankruptcy, announcing plans to sell company assets and close additional stores, including in Kentucky and other states.
Parent company American Signature Inc. announced the Chapter 11 bankruptcy filing in a Nov. 23 news release. The filings typically allow companies to reorganize with hopes of keeping businesses open and paying creditors over time, per the United States Courts.
