Foley Residents Invited to City Council Meeting Monday on Zoning, Festivals, and Community Projects

The Foley City Council will hold its regular work session and meeting on Monday, December 1, 2025, at 4 p.m. The meeting will be in the council chambers at Foley City Hall. The agenda includes a public hearing and a second reading of an ordinance to amend the city’s zoning regulations. The council will review proposed changes to pay classification plans for the General Government and Police Department, as well as a reorganization of the Fire Department. The disposal of three surplus Sanitation Department vehicles and the acceptance of the Walmart Spark Local Good Grant are also on the agenda.

The council will consider requests to rent Heritage Park for the Gumbo and Alabama Slammer Festival and the Mudbugs and Margaritas Festival. Both events are seeking variances to allow alcohol sales. Infrastructure topics include proposed amendments to the Street Department budget for sidewalk and street maintenance, drainage improvements near Cedar Street and U.S. 98, and the installation of new street lights at several locations…
