Report: Violent crime drops, commercial robberies rise in Nashville

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — Violent crime rates are falling in Nashville while commercial robbery reports have increased, according to data from the Metro Nashville Police Department.

In Davidson County, crime is trending downward. Homicides are down 30%; street robbery is down 28%, and residential burglary is down 20%, according to the most recent MNPD data. These types of crimes are seeing the biggest decrease compared to this time last year.
