Lubbock, TX – Residents across the South Plains will feel a sharp blast of Arctic air tonight as temperatures plummet after sunset, according to the National Weather Service (NWS) in Lubbock. Wind chills are expected to fall into the middle to upper teens, with a cold and mostly cloudy Sunday to follow.

Forecasters say overnight lows will range from the upper teens to mid-20s across the region. Cities including Lubbock, Plainview, Silverton, and Denver City are all projected to experience temperatures well below freezing by early Sunday morning.
