Fentanyl, stolen firearms seized in Metro Detroit drug bust before Thanksgiving

DETROIT, MI – The Metro Narcotics Enforcement Team in metro Detroit executed search warrants in Detroit, Eastpointe and Warren ahead of the Thanksgiving holiday.

In total, on Nov. 20, detectives seized 50 grams of fentanyl, 20 grams of cocaine, 151 amphetamine pills, five grams of methamphetamine, three stolen handguns, two more handguns, a rifle, and a short-barreled shotgun.

Additionally, over $14,000 in cash and $6,000 in assets were recovered, which are subject to civil forfeiture proceedings, according to the news release…
