Rain tonight, some snow possible Monday night into Tuesday

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) – Lingering spotty rain showers/flurries will be possible overnight into early Sunday morning as colder air rushes in behind the departing storm system. The majority of the day Sunday will be mostly cloudy and cold, but dry! Highs will only top out in the low to mid 30s.

Another storm system will impact the Tri-state starting Monday evening into Tuesday morning. As of now, accumulating snowfall is possible across the entire area. Some models do show a bit of wintry mix over western Kentucky but the dominant precipitation type should be snow. Models show very different stories in terms of snowfall amounts, but right now a widespread coating -1“ may possible with some isolated pockets closer to 2″ on eastern edge of the Tri-State.
