The family of a Gainesville native who has been missing since Nov. 11 has launched a website to provide updates on the search for him.
Dallas, TX Attorney and SMU law professor Charles Hosch went missing after he left for a hike at the Byron Herbert Reece Trail in Union County, GA. He was last seen descending the Appalachian Trail from the top of Blood Mountain.
After two weeks of search efforts by professional search and rescue operators, the active search for Hosch was paused by Union County officials until new leads could be found. However, Hosch’s family is privately continuing efforts with the launch of BringCharlesHome.com.
As of the last update on the website on Nov.29, volunteer search and rescue organizations are assisting in the efforts. The update also said that the family plans to have expanded teams search for Hosch on Monday…
