Trending warmer with a low rain chance Sunday

FORT MYERS, Fla. — High temperatures will climb into the mid-80s this afternoon as our warming trend continues. Winds won’t be as breezy today, calming down to 10 miles per hour instead of 15 to 20 miles per hour like what we saw yesterday.

Rain chances return to the Gulf Coast, but coverage is only at about 10% for today, and that’s mainly for Collier County. If you’re looking for rain, Tuesday has the best chance for us to see it, even though coverage stays low.

Hurricane season ended today, and it was quiet for Southwest Florida. We saw 13 named storms, and of those, five became hurricanes, and four of those were major hurricanes. This season was the first time the U.S. saw no landfalling hurricanes since 2015…
