According to ABC 10, the collision happened on Marconi Avenue, near Burnece Street, according to the California Highway Patrol, North Sacramento. Reports state that the woman was crossing the street when she was hit by a Toyota sedan.
The incident took place on Thursday afternoon before 2 p.m. The CHP has said the woman was attempting to traverse Marconi Avenue from north to south when the unfortunate incident happened. Authorities have also revealed that the woman was walking a dog, as indicated by CHP traffic logs, but it remains unclear what happened to the animal initially.
