Onondaga County to dedicate emergency management center to fallen sheriff’s deputy

Syracuse, N.Y. – The Onondaga County Department of Emergency Management will hold a ceremony Sunday dedicating it’s operations center to a sheriff’s deputy killed in the line of duty last year.

The building will be named the Lieutenant Michael Hoosock Emergency Management Center. Hoosock was fatally shot in a standoff in April 2024.
