Seven Teens Arrested in Southern Massachusetts Following Multi-Town Police Pursuit and String of Thefts

Yesterday, seven teenagers were arrested in connection with a series of incidents, including vehicle theft and shoplifting. The events began in Norwood and involved two separate police chases with multiple stolen vehicles.

At around 1:50 a.m., an officer in Norwood saw two vehicles make an illegal U-turn on Route 1 following a suspected shoplifting at a Mobil gas station, according to NBC Boston. When the officer tried to stop the vehicles, both drivers fled, leading to the first police pursuit.

The two vehicles, an Infiniti SUV and a red Lincoln, were later identified as stolen. The Infiniti crashed in Dedham, resulting in the arrest of three juveniles, while the fourth, the driver, escaped.
