Massive Thanksgiving Search For Tappan Zee Jumper Ends With No Trace

The call came in around 11:40 p.m. on Thanksgiving night, Nov. 28, according to the Piermont Fire Department.

Crews from Piermont, along with several police and fire departments, were dispatched to the scene, in addition to Piermont’s marine unit which responded with eight divers and three additional team members.

Once on the river, responders coordinated with command staff to determine where the victim had entered the water. Using that information, the crew deployed side-scan sonar and began a grid search to the southwest of the bridge, following the tide…
