CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (WVIR) -As Cyber Monday drives a surge in online shopping, AAA is urging consumers to slow down and look closely before clicking on deals that may not be as good as they appear.
“If you see something that looks too good to be true and it makes you go, ‘hmmmm,’ it probably is,” said Ragina Ali, Public and Government Affairs Manager for AAA Club Alliance.
AAA says heavy online traffic during the holiday season creates more opportunities for fraud, especially when shoppers are moving quickly and trying to secure limited time offers.
