Ohio trooper rescues missing pup, Rufus, from the road

BUCYRUS, Ohio (WOIO) – An Ohio State Highway Patrol (OSHP) trooper helped to wrangle in a large dog that had gotten loose from its owner earlier this month.

In a Facebook post, the OSHP shared that back on Nov. 21, Trooper Timothy G. Hayes of the Bucyrus Post came across a dog named Rufus in the road on State Route 98.

Rufus had gotten loose from his owners, and Hayes was able to block traffic and corral the dog…
