Shot of Winter Weather Mon Night-Tues

Our main focus right now is a developing winter weather system that we will be monitoring closely. Starting Monday evening and continuing into Tuesday morning, we expect a light wintry mix with plain snow to the north. A Winter Weather Advisory has been issued for these areas. We’re forecasting up to an inch of snow and sleet, along with a light glaze of ice esp south. This can certainly impact the Tuesday morning commute, making roads slick, especially on elevated surfaces like bridges and overpasses. Untreated sidewalks to become hazardous as well.

Beyond this initial wintry blast, the big story for the week ahead is the cold. Temperatures will remain below normal for the entire week. Nighttime lows are expected to fall well into the 20s each night, with some locations even dipping into the upper teens. By midweek, we’ll see a return to predominantly dry weather, offering a brief reprieve. However, we’re already looking ahead to another chance of precipitation late…..
