After winter weather snap, will Myrtle Beach warm back up? Don’t store coats yet

Wintry weather hit the Myrtle Beach area just in time for Thanksgiving this year, bringing below-normal temperatures. But the beach may get a chance to thaw soon.

A cold front moved through the area on Wednesday night, bringing temperatures down to 47 degrees around Myrtle Beach into Thursday morning. As Thanksgiving dinners wrapped up Thursday night, temperatures fell further, dropping to a low of 31 degrees into Friday morning. Friday night into Saturday morning, the low was about 29 degrees, according to the National Weather Service.
