PORTSMOUTH, N.H. (WWLP) – A Massachusetts man was arrested for allegedly driving under the influence following a high-speed police chase in New Hampshire.
New Hampshire State Police stated that at approximately 10:21 p.m. on Thursday, a trooper in Hampton observed a BMW traveling over 120 mph on I-95 northbound. Police pursued the vehicle after the driver refused to comply with an attempted traffic stop.

The BMW continued speeding on I-95, driving erratically with its exterior lighting turned off. The driver left the highway at Exit 5 onto the Portsmouth Traffic Circle, traveling southbound on Route 1. Troopers ended the pursuit due to safety concerns and began searching the area for the vehicle.
Police stated that the vehicle was located behind a business on Lafayette Road in Portsmouth. When speaking to the driver, identified as 22-year-old Mason Hebert of Boxford, Mass., troopers noticed signs of impairment.
Hebert was arrested and charged with a felony count of reckless conduct and misdemeanor counts of aggravated driving under the influence of liquor and disobeying an officer. He was arraigned in Portsmouth District Court on Friday.
