A Perry man was arrested Friday afternoon after a short scuffle with law enforcement following a routine traffic stop on Iowa Highway 141 in Perry.
Curtis Gene Hoyt, 60, of 500 Fourth St., Perry, was charged with interference with official acts-bodily injury, interference with official acts, driving while suspended and no license.
The incident began about 3:45 p.m. Friday on eastbound Iowa Highway 141 near Diagonal Road, where an officer of the Perry Police Department initiated a traffic stop on a 1996 Chevrolet Lumina, driven by Hoyt, who was known to the officer to be operating without a valid driver’s license, according to court records…
