Ohio may not be the first name most taco fans think of in consideration of their favorite food, but a growing chain is setting out to change that. Barrio Tacos + Tequila, founded in Tremont, Ohio, is casting an inventive eye on the beloved Mexican favorite, and DFW diners will soon be able to enjoy the fruits of the Buckeye State’s innovation. Barrio will be opening its first Texas location in McKinney early next year, reports Culture Map Dallas.
The chain is bringing its innovative cuisine to 9401 West University Drove, #150. Paperwork filed with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation pertaining to the restaurant shows that Barrio will occupy a renovated 3,014 square foot storefront.
Barrio’s DFW debut will be overseen by partners Wissam Saliba and Brian Kegley. Saliba states that the restaurant will be ready to feed hungry McKinney diners in February of 2026…
