Texas Tech Christian Club volunteers during freezing temperatures

LUBBOCK, Texas — The Lubbock Youth For Elohim (LYFE) Christian Club at Texas Tech collaborated ASEZ (Save the Earth from A to Z) organization showed off a powerful display of community leadership during their latest volunteer cleanup service.

Despite the Sunday’s high temperature of 30 degrees, 19 volunteers pushed through the cold to restore the cleanup site, Mackenzie Park, resulting in the removal of 31 bags of trash. With the efforts of the group, Mackenzie Park immediately benefited with improvements to the safety and appearance of the area.

The cleanup showed off LYFE’s growing influence as a youth-led force, showcasing their commitment to positive change, unity and how service can transform communities one project at a time.
