New Mexico Artisan Market wraps up Sunday

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – The New Mexico Artisan Market held a three-day showcase at Hotel Albuquerque, featuring local artisans and makers. There were 145 different artisans in the showcase who got the chance to show off a variety of products.

Guests got to browse through many different items, including sculptures, paintings, and home goods. Organizers talked about what the event means for the vendors in attendance.

Preliminary ideas released for potential New Mexico State Fairgrounds redevelopment

“I think what makes our state so unique is we’re really big on supporting local, and this is their livelihood. This is how you know, this is their everything, and this is how they support their families, and this state is so unique because we’re really good about supporting them and I think that’s the beautiful thing about this even right here is, this is their money maker for the whole year,” said Raquel Chambers, executive director with the New Mexico Artisan Market.
