MONROE COUNTY, Fla. – A 42-year-old Dunedin man is behind bars today following a chaotic scene on U.S. 1 where authorities say he narrowly missed hitting two pedestrians during a high-speed maneuver.
The incident unfolded around 8:30 a.m. on Sunday, Nov. 30, near Mile Marker 82. According to the Sheriff’s Office, deputies observed Luca Brandi speeding on a Harley-Davidson motorcycle. Reports indicate Brandi was using the center lane to pass traffic illegally when the ride took a dangerous turn.
Two pedestrians were forced to scramble out of the way as the motorcycle barreled toward them. To avoid striking the pair, Brandi reportedly swerved directly into the path of oncoming traffic…
