Parents arrested after 1-year-old found with burns, sheriff

RICHLAND COUNTY, S.C. (WACH) — Two people have been arrested after a 1-year-old was found with burns requiring treatment at an out-of-state burn center, authorities said.

Richland County Sheriff Leon Lott announced the arrests of Darius D. Jackson, 32, and Younga Pewu-Jackson, 31, in relation to injuries the child sustained on Nov. 17.

Both were charged with one count of unlawful conduct toward a child and taken to the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center. They have since been released on personal recognizance bonds…
