Spartanburg Co. deputy passes away after battle with cancer

SPARTANBURG COUNTY, S.C. (WSPA) — The life of former Spartanburg County Deputy Tony Woodward will be remembered Monday night following his death on November 22nd after his battle with cancer.

According to the sheriff’s office, Woodward served Spartanburg County for more than 20 years before retiring in 2019.

A visitation is scheduled from 5 to 7 p.m. at Floyd’s Boiling Springs Chapel on Highway 9, with services at 10:30 a.m. at The View Church in Boiling Springs.
