SPRINGFIELD, Mich. — A snow emergency has been declared in Springfield after the Thanksgiving holiday weekend brought inches upon inches of snow to Calhoun County.

Starting Monday and lasting through Wednesday at 7 a.m., parking is prohibited on the following streets that are considered designated snow routes, according to the City of Springfield:
- New Moon Terrace North
- New Moon Terrace South
- 21st Street from Avenue A to Avenue C
- 22nd Street from Avenue A to Avenue C
- 23rd Street from Avenue A to Avenue C
- 24th Street from Avenue A to Avenue C
- 25th Street from Avenue A to Avenue C
- Avenue B from 20th Street to 12th Street
- Catera Court
- Avalon Court
- Ridgeline Road
- Briarcliff Lane
- Greenbriar Lane
- Tony Tiger Trail
- Sleepy Hollow
- Barberry Drive
To ensure crews can safely remove snow from the roads, cars parked on the streets above must removed within two hours after the city declares a snow emergency, officials said.
