On Saturday night, a woman was hit and killed on Brick Church Pike near Moorewood Drive. Police say a 17-year-old driving a Nissan Versa reported that the woman was standing on the double yellow lines before she walked in front of his car. He tried to avoid her but struck her. He left the scene and later told his parents. Police arrested him for leaving the scene and driving without a license.
Before police arrived, a 25-year-old driving a Ford Fusion swerved to avoid a mattress in the road. He later found the woman’s body under his car after reaching home. He called police right away.
